The Marketing of Nickel
ALTHOUGH nickel was not identified as a separate element until a Swedish scientist, Axel Frederick Cronstedt, did so in 1751, its utilization dates from prehistorie times. From its humble beginnings nickel has grown in importance until, today, in our clocks, television sets, automobiles, and airplanes, in our bridges, tableware, farm implements, and the equipment which processes our food, it is constantly at our service.
