DUE to the extreme cold weather experienced in Flin Flon during the winter months, thought and precaution were necessary in the design of the plant buildings. The machine shop, carpenter shop, drill shop, and coal plant buildings are similar in the building materials used in their construction. They are sided with two-inch shiplap, insulated with celotex and asbestos paper, and covered with corrugated iron on all side-walls. Roofing consists of 2 by 4 lumber on edge, laminated, and further covered by celotex and three-ply roofing.
