The Radiogenic Concentration of Uranium Ores

The Bureau of Mines, Ottawa, in conjunction with Eldorado Mining . and Refining (1944), Limited, has developed an automatic concentrator for uranium ores. A brief review of radioactivity is given which shows the present limitations for obtaining good results by electronic concentration. The ores after being mined, or at any other stage of a concentrating process, can be analysed for the uranium dissemination and from these results the possibility of an economical concentration can be estimated.
