A Simplified Method to Determine lsoelectric Points of Oxides

A simple way to determine the IEP of oxide minerals is described. The method is shown to apply for fine powders of Fe20 3 and ZnO. The IEP lies at pH 6.95 for Fe203 and at pH 9.08 for ZnO.
