Abrasion of Materials by Suspended Matter

THE Noranda smelter ( Figure 1) has been operating since 1927. The original plant and subsequent enlargements and changes in operating procedures have been described in several papers (references 1-4). The present paper will deal only with past and present practices in cleaning smelter gases and in handling the recovered dust.
