Airborne Electrical Surveys For Regional Studies in Oil and Ore Prospecting

CIM Bulletin, 1950

AN electric survey from a 'plane flown over the ground is much faster and cheaper than an electric survey carried out on the ground. The results are obtained as continuous recordings that are resolvable into both a depth expression and a conductivity effect, so that the indications are easier to evaluate, as well as to correlate from one flown line to the other.
