J. M. WETHERILL, Radiation Health Officer,  Division of lndustrial Health Services, Alberta Dept. of Health, Edmonton, Alta.

This paper presents the results of an investigation into the level of radon, as against the natural background, at the Vicary Creek coal mine in Alberta. The concentrations of radon and daughter products detected in the mine were considered to be insignificantly higher than the concentrations of naturally occurring radon and thus do not constitute a health hazard to the miners.
