Geochemical Control of Chromium, Vanadium, and Titanium Ore Deposits

RECENT ADVANCES in geochemistry and in our knowledge of crystal structure provide a key w1h.ich enables us to create a systematic picture of the genesis of many ore deposits. This genetic scheme may be used with confidence in assessing certain types of orebodies 1and may be of some aid in actual exploration, since it affords a rational explanation of the dependence of the composition of the ore minerals on that of the :rock type in which they occur or with which they are associated.
