Geophysical Discoveries in th.e Mattagami, Quebec

CIM Bulletin, 1960

D. G. MACKAY; N. R. PATERSON

The geology of the Mattagami mining camp, while of particular economic significance, is unfortunately obscured by a very thick mantle of overburden. For this reason geophysical methods have been relied upon heavily in exploring the area. Geophysical data over five important sulphide discoveries show how targets are selected for drilling and how effective geophysics has been in assisting subsequent development programs
