Grinding media evaluation at Brunswick Mining

Brunswick Mining has investigated grinding media optimization for the purpose of improving the location feed and regrind product size distributions to enhance metal recoveries. This paper presents the findings of on-going testing of various sizes and shapes of grinding media. Plant observations combined with estimated breakage rates demonstrate the importance of appropriate selection of media sizes on the milling operation.
