Mechanical-Electrical Coordination in Grinding Mill Design

This paper will examine the problems inherent in matching grinding mills with electric motors through connecting elements such as clutches. Emphasis will be on the uncertainties of mill torque and power demands and the need to recognize these if dependable, safe designs are to be obtained.
