Pit Operation at the Marmoraton Mine, Hastings County, Ontario
THE Marmoraton mine is located a mile southeast of Marmora, a village in Hastings county, Ontario, 130 miles east from Toronto and 143 miles west of Ottawa. Highway No. 14 from Belleville intersects Highway No. 7 at Marmora and the branch line of the Canadian National railway between Trenton and Bancroft passes through the property just east of the open pit.
