The Spectrographic Determination of Potash in Rock Salt

THE simplified method for determining potash in samples of rock salt, described briefly in this paper, was developed to assist the investigation of drill cores from the potash bearing salt deposits of western Canada . Of the large number of samples requiring analysis, it was expected that many would have a potash content coo low to warrant determination by the more accurate but costly and time-consuming chemical methods.
