TSM Outreach and Crisis Communications Performance Indicators - Measuring Performance, Setting Targets
The paper will discuss the role and value of performance indicators as drivers of sustainable resource management. In particular, the paper will focus on the development of performance indicators for external outreach and crisis communications management by The Mining Association of Canada for its Towards Sustainable Mining initiative. The indicators provide clear performance criteria and targets for MAC members, helping to demonstrate their adherence to TSM Guiding Principles. The indicators are supported by best practice guides, also developed by the association.
