This paper out lines a method of testing for t he mercury content of rocks, soils and plants. Techniques of sample collecting are described and the analytical procedures out lined. Examples a r e given of mercury determinations in two known mineralized areas in British Columbia Copper Mountain Mines and Pacifie Nickel Mines.
