SINCE the discovery of potash in western Canada nearly twenty years ago, the available information about these deposits has been disclosed in a number of papers and reports (2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12). The latest, by Dr. W. J. Pearson of the Saskatchewan Department of Mineral Resources (7) and Barry Bannatyne of the Manitoba Mines Branch (2), presented nearly all of the non-confidential details on Saskatchewan potash and the portion of the deposits extending into Manitoba
