Over the past 8 months De Beers Canada has commenced production at both our Snap Lake and Victor diamond mines. The challenge of attraction and recruitment for these two locations was heightened by the prosperous times the Mining Industry is currently enjoying. The past and current placements of Mining Engineering and Earth Science students through summer and/or co-op positions have assisted in meeting some of our technical challenges, of mutual benefit to both student and employer. As we continue to focus on increasing our bench strengths and organizational capability, we will be further directing our attention to harnessing the talents which students and graduates can bring to us.
