THE PRESERVATION OF WOOD
Wood preservation may be defined as the art of protecting wood from decay. In its broadest sense, however, it includes a much wider field. It might be more properly defined as the art of protecting wood from destructive agents, such as decay, insects, marine borers, mechanical wear, etc.
